Position Overview: Plumbing MechanicA Plumbing Mechanic is typically an experienced tradesperson with several years of hands-on plumbing experience, capable of installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems on commercial job sites. Mechanics should have strong technical knowledge, an understanding of safety practices, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.A Journeyman Plumber License is preferred, but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesAttitude & Professionalism

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies

  • Understand basic OSHA requirements for jobsite safety
  • Report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Participate in safety meetings and discussions

Technical Knowledge & Code Compliance

  • Perform all aspects of commercial plumbing installation and repair
  • Ensure all work meets acceptable trade standards
  • Follow all applicable plumbing codes and regulations
  • Read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
  • Coordinate with other trades on site
  • Produce neat, professional, high‑quality workmanship

Problem Solving

  • Identify and report issues or deviations from drawings
  • Offer possible solutions to resolve challenges
  • Know when to elevate a problem to a Lead Mechanic or Foreman

Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare tools and materials needed for daily tasks
  • Communicate needs or delays to the Lead Mechanic or Project Manager
  • Assist in planning work in proper sequence
  • Ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently

Human Relations & Communication

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Follow instructions accurately and efficiently
  • Ask questions when needed to ensure quality installation
  • Support teamwork and maintain a positive jobsite atmosphere

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing

  • Travel to job sites, including extended drive times
