Job description: A pharmacy position is available for a skilled pharmacist with compounding experience, offering a contract-to-perm opportunity in Winston-Salem, NC. This role involves preparing both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions, collaborating with medical teams, and providing expert pharmaceutical care to optimize patient outcomes.Schedule & Hours:
- 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 30-minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions adhering to USP 795, 797, and 800 standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to meet individual patient needs effectively
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
- Provide pharmaceutical advice and care to patients to support optimal health outcomes
- Assist with training and supervising pharmacy technicians
- Utilize PK pharmacy software (training provided) to ensure smooth prescription processing
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina
- 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with USP compounding standards (795, 797, and 800)
- Experience or comfort with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing
