Job description: Job Opportunity – Phlebotomist Role in Winston Salem, NCPosition: Phlebotomist 5889Location: Winston Salem NC regionSchedule: Monday to Friday, hours vary (8-hour shift)Expected duration: 3 months with potential for permanent employmentJob code: CVDJP00035889Employment benefits offeredFloat position covering various locations in the area with mileage reimbursementMust have a clean driving record and reliable transportationOverview:Seeking an experienced phlebotomist to support in performing various tasks, training, and providing work flow recommendations.Responsibilities:Proficient in blood draws, specimens labeling, centrifuging, record-keeping, updating patient information, etc.Collect and store specimens following established procedures; Explain venipuncture process to patients in a clear and courteous mannerDemonstrate needle techniques using straight and butterfly needlesUnderstand and comply with physicians’ orders; Match requisition forms to specimen tubes accuratelyPackage specimens for transportation; Store samples according to required temperature and regulationsAttend annual trainings and answer inquiries regarding laboratory resultsQualifications:Valid Phlebotomy certification as required; At least 6 months’ experience with venipunctures in a fast-paced settingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; High School Diploma or GED required; Minimum 2 years of experience
