What You Will Need:
- Associate degree or completion of an AMA approved Sonographer or Ultrasound program.
- Valid Sonography Certification and current registration with ARDMS (or registry eligible)
- Current BLS Provider (CPR) certification through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- One year experience as ultrasound technologist or sonographer preferred.

Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to): * Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures.
- Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings.
- Contributes to the overall quality of services.
- Performs or assists in performing quality ultrasound examinations in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring consistent workflow and high level of productivity.
- Maintains coordination of activities with others to accomplish work objectives.
- Provides accurate data and documentation of information for departmental/patient records.
- Ensures readiness of equipment and supplies to perform procedures.
- Provides on-call back-up for 2nd, 3rd and weekend shift sonographer in event of an illness/vacation.
- Recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergency situations.
- Rotates to multiple locations; CCC, Urology, Main inpatient department and pediatrics based on departmental needs.
- Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality of services provided.
- Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelinesfor the specific age groups served to ensure patient’s needs are met.
