Our passion for producing the most innovative armor systems is made possible by the commitment of every Armor Express employee, many of whom have spent their lives serving our country.The Purchasing Specialist operates as an intermediary, coordinating, and facilitating the successful purchase of all material needs (OEM and Raw) to ensure production schedule fulfillment and order on time delivery. The position location is in-person at our Eden, NC manufacturing facility.Now is an exciting time to join our team – a team dedicated to saving lives!!!Responsibilities:
- Regularly engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of purchased items
- Creation of purchase orders for needed materials, goods, and services
- Issuing purchase orders to appropriate suppliers
- Manage purchase order lines with key focus on maintaining up to date information and expected delivery date
- Monitor reports to identify orders with specific requirements and proactively engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure purchase order compliance
- Serve as a point of contact for all purchase order information
- Monitor and influence on time delivery based on supplier scorecards
- Manage email traffic and data entry for the procurement team
- Manage Item cards and supplier price lists
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- 2+ years’ experience with purchase order management within and ERP system
- Practical understanding of negotiation and pricing
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Programs to include, but not limited to: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Microsoft PowerBi experience preferred
Physical Demands:
- Required to sit for long period of time; infrequent light physical effort required.
- Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
