Job description: Job Summary:This role is for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in PET CT scans using Siemens equipment. The technologist will work in a mobile unit servicing multiple hospital locations, performing scans, and adhering to strict safety protocols for handling radioactive materials. The position requires experience with Siemens equipment and a minimum of one year of travel experience.Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina, United States,Responsibilities:– Performing PET CT scans using Siemens equipment.
– Drawing venous blood.
– Implementing isolation precautions.
– Starting and maintaining peripheral IVs.
– Storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials.
– Maintaining patient records in EPIC.
– Working in a mobile unit, traveling to different hospital locations.
– Adhering to strict safety protocols for handling radioactive materials.
– Maintaining a 1:3 patient ratio during weekdays and a 1:2 ratio on weekends.Required Skills & Certifications:– Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
– Experience with Siemens PET CT equipment.
– Traveler experience (not accepting first-time travelers).
– Experience in adult hospital and mobile settings.
– Proficiency in drawing venous blood, implementing isolation precautions, starting and maintaining peripheral IVs, and storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials.
– EPIC experience.
– BLS certification.
– ARRT or NMTCB certification.Preferred Skills & Certifications:– Experience in a clinic setting.Special Considerations:– Position is for a mobile PET CT unit servicing multiple locations (Huntersville Medical Center & Matthews Medical Center).
– No on-site RTO allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation and DNR.
– Visits per day: 12.Scheduling:– Monday: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
– Friday: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
– Saturday: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (alternating between Huntersville and Matthews)
– No call requirement.
– No float requirement.
