As an integral part of our leadership team, this role is responsible for leading the engineering team to drive innovation, safety and efficiency in a state-of-the-art steel mill. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of leadership experience
- 5 years of experience developing and implementing new technologies in the steel industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year Engineering Degree or equivalent applicable work experience
- Experience with MiDa steel mill technology
- Experience with automated overhead cranes
- Willingness to relocate for career advancement
