The pharmacist will be responsible for order verification, product checking, overall workflow management of the pharmacy, oversight of technical staff, serving as a drug information resources for patients, nurses, and medical staff, and providing clinical pharmacy services to the patients served. This individual will be cross-trained to multiple inpatient pharmacy areas on multiple shifts.Position Highlights:

How You’ll Impact Patient Care:Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
  • Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
  • Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
  • Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
  • Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.

What You Will Need:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.

Nice To Have (Not Required):

  • One to two years experience is preferred.
  • Completion of a residency and/or equivalent experience in clinical pharmacy is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
